And a weekend win over Roma will not be enough to spare the Milan hierarchy from more criticism if the aging rossoneri are unable to shackle Kaka and his Real teammates on Wednesday. The match pairs the two most successful clubs in the competition's history – although stuttering Milan, eighth in Serie A, are a shadow of the side that won the trophy in 2007. Milan beat Roma 2-1 on Sunday with Brazilian stars Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato on target to end a four-game winless run. In contrast, nine-times winners Madrid have won six of seven Spanish league games this season.
